How Minor Protections work

When Minor Protections are enabled, VibeForge can apply additional safeguards based on a member’s age band. These safeguards may include:

• Safer privacy defaults for protected youth accounts
• Restrictions on messages from unfamiliar adults
• Dating features unavailable to members under 18
• Restrictions on youth monetization features, such as paid posts, tips, subscriptions, and marketplace selling
• Optional verified guardian requirements for child accounts
• Wellbeing tools, including break reminders and calmer-feed options
• Safety logging that helps VibeForge review potential concerns

What members can do

• Review their privacy settings and control who can see their profile information.
• Block or report any account, message, or content that feels unsafe.
• Contact Support through the Help Center for help with an account-safety concern.

Important safety information

No automated safety system is perfect. If someone threatens you, asks for sexual content, pressures you to meet, asks you to keep a secret, or otherwise makes you feel unsafe, stop responding. Block or report the account and tell a trusted adult.

For parents and guardians

Parents and guardians can help young members by discussing online privacy, healthy boundaries, and how to report concerns. Where guardian verification is enabled, it helps confirm an adult guardian relationship; it does not provide access to a young member’s private messages, photos, drafts, or search history.
