Notifications highlight activity such as reactions, comments, invitations, and account events. Messages provide direct conversations and may separate inbox conversations from requests.

Review requests before replying, especially when they contain links, payment requests, or pressure to move off-platform. Adjust notification delivery in Settings, mute conversations when appropriate, and use block or report for abuse or scams. Never share passwords, recovery codes, passkey prompts, or one-time authentication codes in a message.
