That is why VibeForge includes a set of Minor Safety Protections: practical safeguards that support younger members, their families, and the people who help keep our community safe. They are built around a simple idea: young people should be able to enjoy the social side of the internet without having to navigate adult pressures alone.

Safety is not about limiting a young person’s voice.
It is about making space for that voice to grow with confidence.

Protection that reflects a member’s age

A child, a younger teen, an older teen, and an adult do not all need the same online experience. VibeForge uses age bands to apply protections that better fit a member’s stage of life.

This helps make sure that younger members have more safeguards by default, while older teens continue to have an experience that is appropriate for their age. As members grow, their access can evolve with them.

Privacy comes first

For protected youth accounts, VibeForge begins with safer privacy defaults. This helps limit the visibility of personal profile details, activity, and other account areas so that younger members are not automatically sharing more than they intend to.

Privacy is not a one-time decision. Members and families should review privacy settings regularly, talk about who they know online, and make thoughtful choices about what is shared publicly.

More protection from unfamiliar adults

Direct messages should feel welcome—not unexpected or uncomfortable. VibeForge can restrict messages between younger members and unfamiliar adults unless there is an approved connection.

This added boundary helps reduce unwanted contact and gives young members greater control over who can start a conversation with them.

Adult-only experiences stay adult-only

Some experiences are not appropriate for minors. On VibeForge, protected youth accounts are kept away from adult-oriented features, including dating.

Dating remains unavailable to members under 18. This is a clear boundary designed to support age-appropriate connection and reduce the risk of younger members being drawn into situations intended for adults.

Freedom to create—without financial pressure

Young people should be able to share their creativity because they enjoy it, not because they are being asked to sell, spend, or earn money online.

Minor Safety Protections can restrict youth access to monetization features, including:

• Paid posts and tips
• Subscriptions
• Marketplace selling
• Advertising and fundraising
• Escrow and creator payouts

These limits help keep protected youth accounts focused on community, creativity, and connection instead of financial transactions.

Support for families and guardians

Parents and guardians play an important role in helping young people build healthy online habits. For child accounts, VibeForge can require a verified adult guardian relationship as an added layer of support.

Guardian verification helps confirm that a responsible adult is connected to a child’s account. It does not give that adult access to private messages, photos, drafts, or search history. Young members deserve support and privacy at the same time.

Wellbeing matters, too

Online safety is not only about stopping harmful interactions. It is also about helping people build a healthier relationship with their time online.

VibeForge includes wellbeing options for younger members, such as gentle break reminders, quieter hours, and calmer-feed choices. These features are designed to make it easier to pause, reset, and stay intentional about time spent online.

When something does not feel right

Every VibeForge member can block accounts and report concerning messages, content, or behavior. Reporting helps our safety team review concerns and respond when our community rules may have been broken.

If someone makes you feel unsafe, trust that feeling. Do not feel pressured to reply, explain, or handle the situation on your own.

Tell a parent, guardian, teacher, counselor, or another trusted adult if someone:

• Pressures you to share personal information, images, or secrets
• Asks you for sexual content or makes sexual comments
• Threatens, intimidates, or repeatedly contacts you
• Asks you to meet in person
• Makes you feel scared, uncomfortable, or unsure
